Chess in Thủ Đức 5

Thủ Đức, in the east of Ho Chi Minh City, has a busy chess calendar of its own. V-Chess, at 5 Trần Lựu in An Khánh, runs standard, rapid and blitz tournaments there through the year, and Chess Plus Academy, whose tournaments are listed at two addresses in the same ward, played its Little Legend tournament, with sections from under eight, in May 2026. Cờ vua Thần Đồng plays monthly practice tournaments at the Sunview Town apartment block on Gò Dưa.

The Gia Định Open, a numbered series, is played at the Nguyễn Thị Tư primary school on Nguyễn Ư Dĩ, and the Thủ Đức city chess club has organised the Thủ Đức Open and a tournament with Kids, Challenger and Master sections. Branches of the teaching chains are spread across Thủ Đức too; they are listed with the other chess centres.
